"I'm out here to prove myself, just try to be the best I can be," Green told GoBlueWolverine, "being a 2015 and a young guy. So, I am just trying to play with the older guys and make sure they know my name."
At 6-foot-3, 180-pounds, Green is coming off a successful season at Stevenson.
"I had a great season, although I wasn't the No. 1 receiver," he explained. "We had three go-to threats. … I was just sharing the ball with them. (I had) six touchdowns, I think 500 yards, it was a pretty good season though."
A lengthy receiver, Green says he is a good route runner with good speed and aggression on the field. With those attributes, he is already generating attention from Michigan, Northwestern and Illinois. He has already been to the Wolverines' campus once and said he has already grown a fondness for the Maize and Blue.
"I like the school a lot," he said. "I like how they are academically very good and everything, since they are Big Ten and all. And I've had a little conservation with them going to the campus once. It was nice to be there. I like the coaching and everything they have."
Another advantage for Michigan is that Green's mother has family from nearby Detroit, Mich.
"Well my mom is from Detroit, Mich., which most of my mom's side of the family lives there," he said. "And it would be a big decision, because it would help me out, ‘cause I have family there and people to help me out if I need help. I just love my family, so I would be with them."
Green says academics are his major factor when choosing his future school.
"Mostly academics, what can set me for the future," he said. " ‘Cause that is more important than a couple years of football. Whether it's just or college or going even farther to the league."
While Green doesn't have a set visit to Michigan's campus, he say he will be camping at some schools this summer.
"No schools in particular, yet. But maybe Illinois camp, ‘cause it is close. But I plan on going to a couple camps this summer," he said.
As far as a decision timeline, Green says he would like to wait the process out.
"Most likely, play the whole process out and see if I can get more and see if I can get what I am looking for," he said. "I am not sure what I am looking for yet. I'd probably wait the whole season and see how it goes."
