Detroit Cass Tech 2015 running back Mike Weber made his way to Ann Arbor, Mich. Sunday, and took in the big game atmosphere of the Michigan basketball game versus Indiana. Despite U-M falling to the Hoosiers, 72-71, Weber says he enjoyed his visit to campus.

"It was a real good visit," Weber told GoBlueWolverine. "It was good atmosphere and a really good game. It was crazy out there. I went to the suites by the football field and ate and talk to the coaches too. It was really, really nice.

"Basically, the conversation was like, Michigan is for you and stuff like that. That's basically what we were talking about. They wouldn't say it straight on, but would say it in a way or a hint for me to understand what they were saying."

At 5-foot-10, 205-pounds, Weber admits the Wolverines are making strides in his early recruitment.

"They will be one of the top school I choose from when it's time to make my decision. So, yeah, Michigan is up there. It's home, the fans are a really big impact that I like. I have a lot of former teammates I played with that are up there. Those are some the reasons I like Michigan."

It's no secret that Cass Tech has earned a reputation of sending their players to Michigan. After all, Cass coach Thomas Wilcher is a former Wolverine himself. However, Weber says that Wilcher isn't probing him to become a Wolverine and is letting him make his own decision.

"Coach Wilcher wants to get me in college and it doesn't really matter to him where I go. We never talk about Michigan specifically. He just takes me up there a lot," he said.

Currently, Weber has offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois and Syracuse. He says Ohio State should be the next school to offer.

While Weber didn't name a leader, he did note what he's looking for on his college visits.

"I want to see the atmosphere and the city," he explained. "Also, the academic side of things and I just want to talk to random people and ask them how they like the school and what it's about."

As far as a decision timeline, Weber says he would like to make his college choice at a high school All-American game.

"I'm just trying to pick up as many offers as I can," he said. "I want to get better and have a great season this year. I just want o enjoy the process, so when it comes down to signing I have a lot of colleges to choose form and go from there."
