East St. Louis Senior (Ill.) High 2015 defensive end, Terry Beckner talks U-M, notable offers, decision timeline and more.

East St. Louis Senior (Ill.) High defensive end, Terry Beckner is quickly becoming one of the top prospects in the 2015 class.

At 6-foot-4, 270-pounds, Beckner already has notable offers from Ohio State, Nebraska, Indiana, Michigan State, Purdue and Iowa State, to name a few. While Michigan has yet to offer Beckner, the Wolverines' are showing considerable interest in him as well.

"It means something," Beckner told GoBlueWolverine. "But I'm not really too worried about what schools are coming at me. I have two more years left. So, schools can keep coming in and I'll just wait."

However, Beckner says a trip up to Ann Arbor is a possibility this year.

"Yeah, I do plan on doing that," Beckner said. ‘I don't know if it will be this summer, but I might be."

Beckner, who is heading into his junior season, says he is looking for a school he can connect with on his visit.

"I'm looking for school that I like," Beckner said. "A school that keeps me interested on my visit. I want a schools that feels me, if they don't feel me then I won't go there. It just depends."

Currently, Beckner says he doesn't have a top-10, although he admits he grew up a fan of USC. However, he says he has always had his sights on playing in a certain conference.

"I know I want to go to the SEC. They are the best conference," Beckner said.

As far as a decision timeline, Beckner said, "I would like to make my decision probably at the end of my junior year."

In the meantime, Beckner plans on improving his game for a huge 2014 season.

"I'm hard worker and I always hustle," Beckner said. "But I need more technique and speed going into my junior season."
