"I'm doing pretty good," said Brown, who plays for the Windy City Boom. "I play mainly running back. I picking up safety as a new position. I like to consider myself an athlete, all around and versatile. Safety is new to me. I almost had an interception, unfortunately I dropped it. But I am picking up well and getting ready for the season."
5-foot-11, 192-pounds, playing safety may be new to Brown. However, he says some schools are recruiting him to play in the defensive backfield.
"It's a big mixture," Brown explained. "I know NC State and Northern Illinois, some schools like that, they like me as defensive back. Then Illinois and a bunch of other schools like me as a running back."
Currently, Brown has offers form Illinois and his hometown school, Northern Illinois. He is also hearing from Georgia, LSU, Indiana, Wisconsin and Penn State, to name a few.
Just recently another school was added to the mix, as Michigan was in his school today to talk with his high school coaches.
"Yeah, I would definitely would like to go check them out," said Brown, on possibly going to Ann Arbor for a visit. "I hear they have a really good business program. That is what I am all about. That's my thing, as long as you can get that degree. That's big for me…Definitely, I see that they got a bunch of four and five-star recruits. They are building something big up there. I see that they switching to a pro-style offense. Especially me being a running back, I think that is pretty big."
What if the Wolverines' were to extend an offer to Brown?
"That would be one of my top offers," Brown said. "They are definitely high cause I mean, they are Michigan, they are one of the best schools in the nation, especially with their tradition and everything. So, they would be up there definitely."
What Brown really likes about Michigan, is their transition from a spread to a pro-style offense. An offense he says he utilize his multiple skill set.
I like to go north or south but I can go east or west too," Brown said. "I would say I am more explosive. I got speed and I can make cuts especially going through the line, I can get out."
In the meantime, Brown says he plans on hitting the camp circuit hard this summer.
"I'm just going to mostly the Big Ten," Brown said. "I'm going to Minnesota, Michigan State, Indiana and Ohio State. And Michigan, I don't really know their camp schedule yet."
As far as a decision timeline, Brown said it's a matter of comfort.
"If I know I am ready and I want to go there for the next four years, then I will commit on the spot," Brown explained. "But If I am not sure, then I will wait till all five of my visits and then commit."
