'15 WR Green talks U-M and OSU

Adlai E. Stevenson (Ill.) High '15 WR Cameron Green is generating interest from around the Big Ten. GBW caught up with Green, as he talked about his latest schools of interest, his visit to OSU, a possible visit to U-M, decision timeline and more.

Adlai E. Stevenson (Ill.) High 2015 wide receiver Cameron Green has yet to receive his first offer, but that could soon change with all the schools showing interest as of late.

"I heard from Wisconsin (two weeks ago.) They want me to come down to their camp," Green told GoBlueWolverine. "I might be actually going down there. There has been a couple of local schools coming around, too. Illinois, Ohio State, Minnesota, Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan have all stopped by.

"It's pretty cool having them come in (to see me.) They come to our workouts to see the older guys and they see the younger guys working out, too. It's pretty fun seeing (coaching staffs visiting.) It's a pretty cool experience."

At 6-foot-3, 180-pounds,Green is a tall and lengthy receiver who can stretch the defense down the field. He also heard from Michigan and Northwestern, as reported by GBW in April, but OSU is the latest school to get Green on campus for a visit.

"I have been talking with (OSU) coach Mike Vrabl," Green said. "I went down to the spring game and talked with him there. I was with (2014 OSU commits) Lonnie Johnson and Dylan Thompson. I went with them and they met and I talked with him and met him. I ended up talking with him a couple days later. So, I have been kind of talking with him about everything."

While the Buckeyes' made a nice impression on on his visit to Columbus, Green says he's not done visiting schools this summer. In fact, he intends on taking up U-M coach Jeff Hecklinski on his invite to Michigan's June football camp.

"He told my coach he really wanted me to come to Michigan's camp," Green said. "He wants me to check it out there and be on the campus and everything with them. That's pretty much what (U-M) is saying.

"I would love to go to school there. They are unbelievable academically. So, I mean it's a great school, I would love to go there."

A visit to Detroit, Mich. is already in the works for this summer, said Green, where he will visit his grandmother on his mother's side. While on his visit to the "Motor City", Green says he would like to make a pit stop in Ann Arbor.

"I will try to get up there and visit my family," Green said. "I would like to camp and visit the campus and check everything out. This summer I will be going up there sometime."

Green said he would like to make his final decision before his senior season.
