At 6-foot-6, 285-pounds, Labus held his own and showcased good balance and footwork in the regional event.
"I felt really good about today," Labus said. "I feel like everything is just smooth. Everything I was taught by the different coaches was really helpful and really good for helping out my technique.
"I think I need to work on my balance a little bit. That would be one thing that's really key for me to work on (moving forward.)" Heading into his senior campaign, Labus has offers from Toledo and Western Michigan and is hoping to land his first BCS offer this summer.
"I am going to Cincinnati next week to their camp," Labus said. "Michigan State is showing a lot of interest. They said they are breaking down what lineman they are going to offer. Michigan has been talking to me also. All those schools around Michigan."
While the Wolverines have yet to offer Labus, he said an offer would raise his interest in the Wolverines to new heights. "It's pretty high," Labus said his interest in Michigan. "but they have a lot of lineman spots already filled. So I mean, if it ends up coming around it would definitely be a great thing. I would definitely accept.
"I went there last year to the Michigan versus Michigan State game and the Michigan/Northwestern game. So, definitely (want to get back up there.) The crowd base, definitely the crowds are just crazy there. It's not even explainable, honestly."
Labus said his decision timeline depends on which schools offer down the stretch.
"I would like to commit before the season," Labus explained. "But if other schools that I am interested in show interest in me, then I willing to wait off and hold off until after the season."
