SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--Jacques Patrick has all the attributes that college coaches are looking for in a running back. He is big (6-foot-2, 220-pounds) and he is fast (4.6 forty), which combines into a monster runner who can light up defenders with his speed and power.

Which is exactly why Patrick already has an offer sheet that rivals any player in the country.

Patrick, who stars for Timber Creek (Orlando, Fla.) High, made his way to the Midwest to check out what the Big Ten schools have to offer. One of his stops was at University of Michigan, where the talented runner had opportunity to soak in the Maize & Blue on his visit. And after his experience in Ann Arbor, Patrick says he has seen the Wolverines in a different light.

"I took a visit to Michigan today and my interest in Michigan is real now," Patrick told GoBlueWolverine. "I wouldn't say it really wasn't before. I was hoping I got to see the place. Now I got to saw it, my interest is real with Michigan right now.

" Cause, coach (Fred) Jackson he broke down everything to me and he's a great guy. I got to chat with him for 45 minutes. Our offense right now is similar to what they run at Michigan. He was breaking that down, and we was going over some stuff that they run."

Another strong impression on Patrick's visit was his introduction to the Michigan Stadium.

"Yeah, I got to check out the stadium, which is really, really big," Patrick said. "I got to check out the locker and try on a couple jerseys and see the weight room, and all that kind of stuff. It was real nice."

Now that Patrick has seen Michigan and other notable programs on his Midwest tour, he said he has reopened his top schools and no longer has any favorites.

"I really had Florida and Florida State as my early leaders, but now I have to reconsider all this kind of stuff" Patrick said. "I just want to have no leaders right now and just go sit with my mom and start talking about it. I mean, I still have strong interest in both of those schools Florida and Florida State, but I just want to go talk with my mom about the visit up here and hopefully come back and visit these schools with her."

As far as what he is looking for in a program, Patrick said it's a matter of comfort.

"Yeah it's just that factor of (comfort level.)" Patrick said. "I'm just trying to find that factor of where I feel comfortable. And then if I feel like I belong there."

In the meantime, Patrick plans on taking a tour of many schools in the South Eastern Conference and more.

"I am taking a southeast tour in mid-July to schools like Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Miami (Fla.), LSU and a couple more schools," Patrick said.
