INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Big Ten Conference Tournament champion University of Michigan baseball team has been assigned to the Louisville, Kentucky, NCAA Regional and will open play at 2 p.m. Friday (May 29) against Bradley, an at-large selection out of the Missouri Valley Conference.

Host Louisville and Morehead State are the other two teams in the double-elimination regional that will be run Friday through Monday (May 29-June 1) at Jim Patterson Stadium.

Michigan (37-23) earned the Big Ten's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament with a 4-3 win over Maryland in the Big Ten Tournament championship game. The Wolverines are one of five Big Ten teams (Illinois, Iowa, Maryland and Indiana) to make the NCAA field, and U-M is in the field for the first time since 2008.

The Bradley Braves (35-19) fell, 5-2, to Missouri State in the championship game of the MVC Tournament. The Braves are one of three teams from that conference in the field of 64. Bradley is led by Spencer Gaa's .343 batting average, while Drew Carlile and Evan Gruener have six home runs apiece. Elliot Ashbeck is 11-4 with a 3.11 ERA on the mound, and Matt Dennis leads the Braves with 12 saves.

Louisville (43-16) is the No. 3 national seed and winner of the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season title. Nick Solak has a team-best .327 batting average, while Corey Ray has 11 home runs and 48 RBI. On the mound, Brendan McKay is 8-3 with a 1.76 ERA and Zack Burdi is 5-0 with a 0.75 ERA and nine saves.

Morehead State (38-20) won the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament title and the automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. The Eagles have a .335 team batting average with Chris Robinson hitting .412 and Kane Sweeney having 14 home runs. Luke Humphreys is 7-2 with a 4.79 ERA.

All-session tickets are $70 for reserved chairbacks and $45 for college students and are available online now and will go on sale by phone (502-GO-CARDS) or in-person Tuesday (May 26) at 9 a.m.

Single-session tickets are priced at $15 for reserved chairbacks, $10 for berm/general admission, and $5 for college students and will go on sale Thursday (May 28) at 9 a.m. online at or in-person (no phone orders).
