DETROIT—Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech stole enough Southfield (Mich.) fumbles to out run the Blue Jays in a thrilling 18-14 win at the Prep Kickoff Classic Friday night at Wayne State.

2014 Michigan defensive end commitment Lawrence Marshall and new teammate, defensive lineman Malik McDowell, teamed up as a formidable duo as a disruptive wrecking crew in the Technicians backfield.

On the other side, 2015 Cass Tech running back Mike Weber looked in mid-season form, bursting through holes with good speed while showing great vision and cutback ability on several big plays.

2015 Southfield athlete Ray Buford was also a standout on the offensive end for Southfield, getting behind the Cass Tech defense on a few occasions.
