Polk Impressive at Army Combine

2015 WR Prospect Brandon Polk had a strong Army combine and talks schools of interest inside.

SAN ANTONIO -- Ashburn (Va.) Briar Wood High 2015 wide receiver Brandon Polk was one of the more impressive prospects at the U.S. Army Junior combine earlier this month.

At 5-foot-9, 152-pounds, Polk used his speed and playmaking ability to win his fair share of one-on-ones throughout the day, and easily justified his No. 11 WR ranking in the 2015 Scout.com player rankings.

"I think I did very well for being out here with all the top-500 players," Polk said. "We had some good defensive backs out here and I think I did best out here and showed what I can do.

"I see myself as speedy wide receiver. One that can go deep."

With eight offers already, Polk said in no particular order his top-five is Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Stanford, Boston College and Maryland.

While most of his interest is form the east coast, Polk did admit he would listen to Michigan if they showed some interest and did note the toughness overall of the Big Ten conference.

"I would say it's a tough conference," Polk said. "It's nothing easy. That's what I like."

As far as what Polk is looking for in a school, he said there is one major factor.

"Academics, that's what I am looking for," Polk said. "Not just for football but academics as well."
