Gordon Talks Early Recruitment, Michigan

Saginaw (Mich.) Arthur Hill 2016 DE Lawrence Gordon talks his improved game, Michigan, other schools of interest and more.

BRIGHTON, Mich. – Saginaw (Mich.) Arthur Hill 2016 defensive lineman Lawrence Gordon made his way to HYPE Athletic Showcase on Saturday to prove he is one of the best underclassman in the state.

"I just want to do me," Gordon said before the event. "I just want to dominate the offensive lineman. … I just want to show how strong I am and how dominate I can be."

At 6-foot-6, 240-pounds, Gordon certainly looks the part of a future Division 1 defensive lineman. He is strong and athletic, a is coming a positive sophomore season.

"I did good," Gordon said on his past season performance. "I just need to improve on my footwork an moves, like my spin moves and my hands." Last summer, Gordon made his way to Ann Arbor for Michigan's annual BBQ at the Big House, and has since been back on multiple visits. That raises the question: What are his thoughts on the Wolverines?

"They are a good college," Gordon said on the Wolverines. "I really haven't talked to them lately since the last basketball game they had."

And when Gordon does make his way back to Michigan's campus, he said he would like to see the weight room and more of the campus on his next visit.

Currently, Gordon has no offers. Although, he says he is hearing considerable interest from Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State and Stanford, and has been asked to camp at all the schools mentioned.

As far as what he is looking for in a program, Gordon replied, "I am looking their (academics), their facilities. Education is more important than anything."
