Michigan to play Rutgers in Primetime

Rutgers and Michigan are scheduled to meet on Oct. 4 at 7.pm. ET for their first ever match-up -- ever.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan to play in primetime – again.

The Wolverines will play at Rutgers on Oct. 4 at night, one of three night games in the Michigan's first seven games this upcoming season. The game will be played at High Point Solutions Stadium in Piscataway, N.J., kick-off is at 7 p.m. ET on BTN.

This will be the first time both schools will have faced each in the long history of two of college football's oldest programs. This will also be their first game as Big Ten East Division opponents.

Rutgers is entering its 145th season – tied for the oldest with Princeton – and Michigan is entering its 135th season, the sixth oldest program in CFB history.

Michigan other two night games are at Notre Dame on Sept. 6, and they also play host to Penn State on Oct. 11, which marks the first time U-M will host a Big Ten opponent in primetime.
