Pylon 7v7 YSU: Grant Perry

Bloomfield (Mich.) Brother Rice 2015 WR Grant Perry talks recruitment, Michigan interest and more.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Bloomfield (Mich.) Brother Rice 2015 wide receiver Grant Perry is still seeking his first BCS offer.

After a strong showing at the Pylon 7v7 at Youngstown State, it seems like that is more of reality than a dream.

"I am looking to go against some good competition and see where I stand against kids from the Midwest or wherever they're from," Perry said. "I just want to help the team."

At 5-foot-11, 175-pounds, Perry is rated a three-star prospect and currently holds an offer from Central Michigan.

"They are wanting me to commit," Perry said on CMU. "They were talking to me heavily. They call me each week."

There are other notable programs showing Perry interest as well.

"I have talked with Michigan State," Perry said. "I got some mail from Michigan. I am also talking with some MAC schools."

The Michigan coaching staff asked Perry to camp this June.

"(Michigan) has really emphasized their summer camp," Perry said. "They want to see me again come to the summer camp. They said they would go off of that."

Perry says he is heading to Michigan with something to prove.

"I need to prove that my skill is worthy of a scholarship," Perry said. "And that I can play with the best of the best." Perry said he's planning on camping at Michigan State, Nebraska and possibly Minnesota.

"I think I am close to (my first BCS offer)," Perry said. "I think I will probably get it this summer."
