King 'Psyched' to Earn Michigan Offer

Darien (Ill.) Hinsdale South sophomore defensive end Josh King discusses his Michigan offer, how his visit to Ann Arbor went, what he opse to learn about the university and more.

Darien (Ill.) Hinsdale South sophomore defensive end Josh King is building quite the offer sheet. He already holds notable offers from Northwestern, Ohio State and Michigan State, and earlier this month he earned another Big ten offer from Michigan during a spring practice visit.

"It happened a couple weeks ago during my visit," King told GoBlueWolverine. "I was pretty psyched to say the least, honestly.

"I went down once and loved it. I watched the spring practice. It was awesome. They had amazing facilities. I met with the coach – It was awesome! It's a place I am looking at, it's amazing!"

Now that the 6-foot-6, 245-pounder has his U-M offer, he says his next step is to find out more about the program.

"First, I got to find out more about the education there," King said. "Because I really don't know too much about it. I do plan on going to the pros, but I do want to finish college first."

However, King admits he is building a strong relationship with the Michigan coaching staff early on in his recruitment.

"I have been talking to the coach a lot lately," King said on his talks with U-M. "Coach Curt Mallory has come down to the school, and it has been cool talking with him."

At the moment, King says he doesn't have a timeframe when he would like to commit.
