The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder was in the middle of the action all afternoon, displaying unique athleticism for a linebacker.
"I think I did well here at the 7on7, and I did better on cover-two and in man coverage," Motz said.. "I only played in three varsity games last year at the end of the year, so I don't think any colleges know about me at all. I do get emails regarding camps."
Motz, who plays at St. John (Mich.) High, says he plans on camping at Michigan this summer to show the U-M coaching staff his full arsenal of skills.
"Just my athleticism and how I can move," Motz said. "(How I can) stop the run. How I get in my pass drops and everything."
Growing up in Michigan, Motz says he has watched the Wolverines from a far.
"I think they got a good program," Motz said the Wolverines. "I have watched them quite a bit. I like their linebackers and what they do. I just like the program."
Motz says he will be looking for certain characteristics on his visit to Michigan's campus.
"Just the overall feel of the campus. The coaches and how I get along with them. I want to check out their facilities and everything."
