Five-star Langford interested in Indiana

2016 five-star guard Josh Langford was offered by Indiana earlier this week.

Indiana hasn't landed a basketball recruit from Alabama since Christian Watford came to town in 2009. Could Josh Langford be the next?

Langford, a 2016 five-star guard from Madison, Ala., received an offer from Tom Crean and Indiana earlier this week.

Langford, the third-ranked shooting guard in the 2016 class, is 6-foot-5 and excels as a perimeter shooter. He already owns offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Mississippi State, Providence, Tennessee, UAB and Vanderbilt, but he has a lot of respect for Crean and the Hoosiers.

"Coach Crean was real excited to talk. They seem like they're real interested in me and my future," Langford told Inside the Hall. "Indiana is a great program and coach Crean is probably going to be a hall of fame coach. He coached Victor Oladipo and Dwyane Wade at Marquette.

"I just think it's a great program that believes in winning, loves to win and takes everything serious."
