Vance to Camp at Michigan

Detroit Cass Tech 2016 WR Demetric Vance talks Michigan, his upcoming visits and more.

2016 wide receiver Demetric Vance is a player to watch in the Great Lakes State. He stands at 6-foot-2, 196-pounds, and has already been on numerous campus visits, including Michigan.

"I visited (Michigan) for the Indiana (basketball game)," Vance said. "I think there is some interest, but not that much at the moment."

Vance, who plays for Detroit Cass Tech, says he intends on camping at Michigan this June. And while there hasn't been much contact with the Wolverines as of late, he says his interest in the Maize & Blue is still very high.

"If they showed me interest, it would mean a lot," Vance said. "I really like Michigan. I've got to see the fan base. All the coaches and the competition at their games. I like their program."

Vance has no offers at the moment. However, he has already been on campus visits to U-M, Michigan State, Illinois, Ball State and Tennessee. He also said he plans on checking out Florida State this summer. But the school that is showing him the most interest is MSU, said Vance, and he feels an offer from the Spartans is on the horizon.

"I think I got to work a lot harder," Vance said on getting that first offer. "I need to compete better in college camps. I need to get more film."

And what is he looking for on his campus visits?

"I'm looking at what type of coaches that I will be dealing with for four years," Vance said. "And the treat players at their camp."
