At 6-foot-2, 185-pounds, it easy to see why, as more schools are showing interest in the three-star prospect.
"I bring my speed, hands, quickness, ability to get open and stretch the field," said Thornton.
Currently, Thornton has 11 offers altogether and already has been on campus visits to Western Michigan, Illinois and Indiana. He plans on camping at Bowling Green and Michigan State this summer. And while Michigan hasn't extended an offer his way, Thornton says there is some "definite" interest in the Wolverines.
"There is so much history in their program," Thornton said on U-M interest. "They always have a winning team. It's just a good school. I would love to play there if I got the opportunity."
As far as a decision timeline, Thornton says it's matter of what other offers he receives this summer.
"Michigan State and Iowa have expressed interest in me lately, even Maryland expressed interest in me recently. And they said they want me to come up and camp," Thornton said. "If I show out, then I could earn an offer from those schools. And that would probably delay my commitment."
