Michigan – specifically -- is one of the schools the Fort Wayne (Ind.) Carroll standout would like to impress at their football camp this June.
"Since I currently don't have an offer, it's just going to be lay it out all on the line," Tranquill said on his upcoming U-M camp visit. "I got to show them that I am that guy that they want. I am that guy that they need. I am the guy that can get the job done for them. So I got to go up there with that mindset."
Despite not having an offer from the Wolverines, Tranquill is very familiar with the program after camping at Michigan last summer.
"I have heard exceptional things about their education," Tranquill said. "Which is my No. 1 thing when I am choosing a college. Obviously, that is a big part of my decision. I know Michigan has that. On top of that, they have an exceptional football program. I have formed a good relationship with some of the coaches, so I got a good feel for what Michigan football is all about. I have been up to the camps, I like how they run things. It's beautiful campus. Just the environment there, you can tell they really love football."
Currently, Tranquill has notable offers from Indiana, Illinois, Cincinnati and Purdue, to name a few. He is also hearing considerable interest from Notre Dame, Michigan State and Michigan. He says he will be camping at Sound Mind-Sound Body national camp this June, along with U-M, MSU, Northwestern and Notre Dame.
As far as a decision timeline, Tranquill says ideally he would like to make a late summer decision, but as of right now he has no timeframe yet.
