Sibley Excels at NFTC, Talks Visits

Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban 2017 RB Todd Sibley Jr. talks NFTC, his thoughts on U-M, other schools of interest and more.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Despite being one of the younger prospects in attendance at Sunday's Nike Football Training Combine in Columbus, 2017 running back Todd Sibley jr. certainly held his own against the older competition.

At five-foot-11, 199-pounds, Sibley displayed high-level of quick feet, speed and agility. Not bad, considering he is just finishing up his freshman year of high school.

"I think I did pretty good overall," Sibley said. "I think I competed well. I held my ground. I think overall I showed my skill and competed with the best."

Sibley, who stars for Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban, recruitment is heating up, too. He has already been on campus visits to Michigan and Ohio State, and is planning on attending other notable programs in the future.

"Coming up I am visiting Michigan State, and I definitely going back to Ann Arbor," Sibley said. "My first visit to [Michigan] went really good. I'll also see if I can come back down here to Ohio State. As far as Florida State, I am just trying to arrange rides."

Michigan holds its annual football camp this month. Sibley says he plans on attending.

"I'm just trying to see what the environment is like," Sibley said on his next visit to Michigan. "Do I feel like this could be my future home, an things of that nature. … I definitely want to see the campus. I want to see the dorms, and [checkout their] education."

In the meantime, Sibley says he is just working towards a huge sophomore season.

"I just want to stay humble and keep getting better every day," said Sibley.
