Hausmann Shines At NFTC

Cincinnati Moeller has a stacked roster for this coming season, with many players returning for the Ohio state champions. Tight end Jake Hausmann is a top 2016 prospect.

Jake Hausmann is one of the top 2016 prospects in Ohio, and the Cincinnati Moeller tight end has already hit the recruiting radar.

Hausmann, 6-foot-5, 245-pounds, was in Columbus Saturday for the Nike Football Training Camp. He showed the skills that has earned him Division-I offers.

"I'm a player that will do anything coaches want me to do, whether that's a blocker or being flexed out to catch the football," Hausmann stated. "I need to work on everything to be better, especially getting bigger and stronger."

"I think my hands are really good, and I've worked on that a lot over the past few years," he added. "Playing at Moeller is great because we play the top competition, and that will prepare me for the next level."

With offers from the likes of Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee and others, Hausmann is a wanted man in recruiting circles.

"I would say Ohio State, Michigan, Tennessee, Kentucky and Michigan State are standing out to me," he explained.

The Buckeyes could be tough to beat, and Hausmann is scheduled to visit unofficially Monday.

"My parents both went to Ohio State and my sister is there now," Hausmann admitted. "I grew up rooting for Ohio State, and we are all big Buckeye fans."

"That won't necessarily put me at Ohio State though," he said. "I'm looking at this with an open mind, and my parents want me choosing the school that best suits me."
