The spring evaluation period lasted from April 15 to May 31 and brought a flood of offers to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
Dozens upon dozens of players benefited from the exposure as college coaches made the rounds throughout the region. Four players in the 2015 class recently reached the 20-offer plateau thanks in part to the spring evaluation period: Coppell offensive tackle Connor Williams (pictured above), Sachse running back Devine Ozigbo, Arlington Bowie offensive tackle Madison Akamnonu, and Dallas Bishop Dunne receiver Adrian Miller.
Williams has been one of the fastest-rising prospects in Texas during the past several weeks. He's grown in the offseason, going from a 6-foot-4, 250-pound tight end as a junior to a 6-foot-5, 275-pound tackle prospect. Williams was recently reclassified by Scout.com as a tackle instead of a guard and is ranked as the 38th tackle prospect in the 2015 class.
Williams holds 28 offers: Akron, Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, Colorado, Colorado State, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas State, Michigan, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, North Texas, Northwestern, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Purdue, Stanford, TCU, Texas Tech, Tulsa, UCLA, and Wake Forest.
Akamnonu recently got bumped to a four-star by Scout and is now the No. 21 offensive tackle in the country's 2015 class and No. 219 overall recruit in the Scout 300.
Akamnonu started March with three offers and now holds 21: Arizona State, Arkansas State, Baylor, Colorado State, Connecticut, Houston, Kansas State, Maryland, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, North Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Southern Mississippi, TCU, Texas, Texas State, Texas Tech, and Wake Forest.
But offensive linemen have not been the only popular targets. Ozigbo and Miller represent the skill-position players as recent additions to the 20-offer list.
Ozigbo measured an impressive 5-foot-11, 230 pounds at the April 5 Dallas Nike Football Training Camp at DeSoto High School. Before that event, Ozigbo had five offers: Iowa, Miami, Tulsa, Utah, and UTSA.
Since then, Ozigbo has picked up offers from Army, Boise State, Boston College, Colorado State, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Minnesota, Mississippi State, San Diego State, SMU, Syracuse, UNLV, Utah State, Wake Forest, and Wisconsin.
Miller has really blown up during the past few weeks. His offer list has gone from single digits to 28.
The 6-foot-3, 170-pounder has the following offer list: Arizona State, BYU, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana-Monroe, Memphis, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi State, Nebraska, North Texas, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon State, SMU, Southern Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Tulsa, Wake Forest, Washington, and Washington State.
