Mark Fields - Cornerback, Cornelius (NC) Hogue
Fields, a South Carolina commit, had an excellent day in one-on-ones. He was physical, made a lot of plays on the ball and did a nice job of reading and anticipating routes and getting the jump on them. He's a kid who is very comfortable in man to man.
Byron Cowart - Defensive End, Seffner (Fla.) Armwood
A five-star, Cowart lived up to his billing during today's session. His combination of size, athleticism and power make him a handful for any offensive lineman to deal with, even in this elite group. He beat several highly ranked guys including the nation's top prospect Martez Ivey. Not only that, but his coachability and desire to compete was praised today.
Tarvarus McFadden - Cornerback, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage
McFadden is one of those kids who looks like he would move to linebacker in college because of his physical build (6-3, 200) but his cover skills on this day showed why he's considered an elite defensive back prospect. He can run and uses his length well to challenge passes and receivers at the line. He still has technical work to do and may end up being looked at as a safety as well, but had a very good day.
Kahlil McKenzie - Defensive Tackle, Concord (Calif.) De La Salle
McKenzie is big, powerful, and athletic, but also does a very nice job with his hands. He was difficult to handle one-on-one and only lost one rep. He is establishing himself as one of the nation's elite and issuing a challenge to the very top of the national rankings. Scout national director of scouting Scott Kennedy says he is in definite consideration for #1 overall prospect in the country.
Darrin Kirkland - Linebacker, Indianapolis (Ind.) Lawrence Central
Kirkland, a Michigan commit, has worked hard on his ability to run and move in space and that was on display today as he was one of the top linebackers in coverage. He could run with backs and did a nice job playing the ball in the air, coming away with a couple of interceptions.
Isaiah Langley - Cornerback, Pleasanton (Calif.) Foothill
Langley was one of the more impressive defensive backs in the drills because of his quick feet and ability to turn and redirect while staying tight to the cones. In coverage, he was physical, got away with some holding, but also made some really nice plays.
P.J. Mbanasor - Cornerback, Pflugerville (Tex.) Hendrickson
An Oklahoma commit, this kid has excellent size and length. Bigger corners who are athletic enough to play man to man like he can are rare and he showed today that he could stick with some of the top receivers in the country.
Holton Hill - Cornerback, Houston (Tex.) Lamar
Hill is a long corner with the ability to change directions and recover. He's a good natural athlete and looks like he still has room to fill out and get stronger, but he was active in taking reps and impressed during the ones he took.
Iman Marshall - Cornerback, Long Beach (Calif.) Poly
A physical kid who plays with a lot of confidence, Marshall was not afraid to get up on the line and be physical with receivers. He's a good sized kid and showed good ball skills but must be careful not to get too physical as there was some holding on the day as well.
Arthur McGinnis - Linebacker, New Orleans (La.) Warren Easton
Scout analyst Brian Dohn, who concentrated on linebackers today said, "McGinnis is a down hill type of linebacker who is best suited for the inside in a 3-4. He was quick moving forward and showed very good acceleration and explosion. He can fill gaps, and in coverage he did enough not to be a liability."
