The Opening: DB Iman Marshall

Long Beach Poly (Calif.) defensive back Iman Marshall said he’s still a ways away from cutting his list but did name a few schools that will likely make his cut.

Iman Marshall is one of two players, Christian Kirk being the other, who attended The Opening a year ago.

"It's totally different this year," Marshall said. "Last year I didn't really know anyone but still had a great time. This year, it's my class, I know all the dudes and I'm just a lot more comfortable so it has been a great time."

Marshall had a good workout on Tuesday and is the most natural, instinctual cover corner here. He's one of the most physical corners to come out of the West in years and if he can get his hands on you early in the route, the play is basically over.

On the recruiting front, Marshall isn't even close to cutting down his list.

"I need to sit down with my family before I cut down my list and I haven't done that yet," Marshall said. "The two local schools, UCLA and USC will always be on there and Stanford too. They're all recruiting me really hard and I have great relationships with them.

“I like a lot of out state schools too including LSU, Florida State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Florida and Tennessee. There are a lot of schools I like, I'm still open to everyone. I'll take all five trips and then wait until Signing Day to make my decision."
