The Opening: Rebounders

BEAVERTON, Ore. -- The Opening features 162 of the top prospects in the country, and not many disappointed during the week of tough competition. Even those who started slow picked things up by Thursday, and Scout takes a look at five inside.

  • K.J. Hill | WR | North Little Rock (Ark.)

Hill struggled catching the ball in the games during pool play on Wednesday, but he caught everything on Thursday in one of the better wideout performances of the week.

  • Ricky Town | QB | Venture (Calif.) St. Bonaventure

Saw limited snaps after a slow start on Day One of the 7v7, which included two picks, before catching fire on Day Two, taking his team to the semifinals, including rallying his team to a win in the final minutes. Town threw with confidence, touch and zip.

  • Rasheem Green | DL | Gardena (Calif.) Serra

Green was somewhat pedestrian over the first day and a half as a defensive tackle, but his move out to defensive end on Thursday provided a spark for him of sorts. He was dominant with speed and counter moves as well, closing out the day with a sweep of his last three reps during the "Final Five."

  • Mook Reynolds | CB | Greensboro (N.C.) Northern Guilford

Was a bit lost in coverage and wasn't as physical, but the last two days he was much better in off coverage and he was able to disrupt routes more after being able to get his hands on wideouts at the line.

  • Kevin Toliver | CB | Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian

The LSU commitment is the top corner in the country on Scout, and he recovered from a slow start in one-on-ones. During 7on competition, he was able to showcase his physicality and ball-skills en route to frustrating several quarterbacks in the process.'s Scott Kennedy, Brandon Huffman, and Sam Webb contributed to this report.
