“It was just amazing to go up against all of those guys and measure yourself,” Patrick said. “It’s just a measuring stick for me to elevate your game to the next level if you’re that guy.”
Rated a four-star prospect, Patrick is measuring up different schools in his recruitment as well.
Patrick also told GoBlueWolveine he will be visiting Alabama next week. He said he will cap his summer off by visiting Florida for Friday Night Lights. His planned commitment announcement is on Oct. 27, the day of his brothers birthday.
While he announced his top-two schools, there are other schools heavily on his trail. He said he has only planned one official visit so far, and it’s with Ohio State. He also took in a visit to Michigan this summer and says there is still some interest with the Wolverines.
“The interest is still pretty good,” Patrick said of the Wolverines. “I talked to them today [Tuesday]. We talk constantly on Twitter. So they are still there.
“I just talk to coach Nuss all the time. And we just talk. And I talk to coach Jackson every once in a while. But coach Nuss is the main guy that I talk to. He is just shows me everyday how I fit into the offense.”
In the end, Patrick admits he is looking for a schools that stick out more than the rest.
“A school that is different,” Patrick admitted. “Every school can offer me facilities and all that kind of stuff. It’s that ‘it’ factor that I look for in schools. Some schools have it, some schools don’t.”
