Will Sheffield Visit Michigan?

Fort Bend (Texas) Marshall 2015 CB Kendall Sheffield updates his recruitment.

BEAVERTON, Ore. – When Kendall Sheffield first got his The Opening invite, he had hoped he could come to the Nike event to compete against the nation’s best.

Unfortunately for the Fort Bend (Texas) Marshall star, he tore a ligament in his left ankle forcing him to miss the activities this week despite making the trip.

“It’s pretty serious,” Sheffield said. “It’s been going on about three weeks right now. It’s a strained ligament in my left ankle. I’m going back to the doctor when I go back home.

“I’m still having fun. I’m just watching all the great players. Just been talking, having fun out here.” At 6-foot, 180-pounds, Sheffield is ranked a five-star prospect and his the No. 2 cornerback in the country in the latest 2015 Scout.com player rankings. With his lofty ranking come a highly decorated offer sheet that includes the likes of Alabama, Texas, Notre Dame and LSU among others.

But don’t worry, if he has a favorite, he’s not telling anyone.

“They are all about even right now,” Sheffield said. “

Michigan is another top program that has thrown an offer his way, and Sheffield says they are trying to lure him up to Ann Arbor for a visit.

“They want me to come up there and visit but I am not for sure yet,” Sheffield said. “I have to talk with my dad.”

As far as what Sheffield is looking for in a program, he says education will play a factor.

I will be looking at their education and view the campus and things like that,” said Sheffield.
