U-M is the fourth program to extend a scholarship to Moran. And now that he has an offer from the Wolverines, Moran says the Maize & Blue are his new leaders.
"Honestly, Michigan is number one," said Moran, when asked where Michigan stands now in his recruitment.
The O'Fallon (Ill.) four-star running back was offered by the Wolverines today. The offer came when he talked to U-M recruiting coordinator, Jeff Hecklinski, this morning.
"I was really excited," said Moran, who is rated the No. 5 running back in the current 2016 Scout.com player rankings. "I kind of knew it was coming. Because coach [Hecklinski] said he's got me. I am really excited. I am really looking forward to getting down there."
“I talked to Coach Heck and [offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier]. I was just excited. [Nussmeier] told me I fit right into the offense. He said I am a great fit.”
This weekend Michigan will host its annual Barbecue at the Big House. Unfortunately, Moran says he will be unable to make it up for the festivities. However, he says a visit will be imminent in the near future.
“I would like to come up for a game, maybe a practice,” Moran said on his next visit to Ann Arbor. “I would like to check out the facilities and their academics.”
As of right now, Moran says he would like to make his commitment at the end of the summer before his senior season.
