U-M Picked 2nd in B1G; Two on Watch List

The University of Michigan ice hockey team was picked to finish second in the Big Ten, the conference announced at Big Ten Hockey Media Day on Wednesday. In addition two Wolverines were selected for the preseason conference watch list.

Junior forward Andrew Copp (Ann Arbor, Mich.) and sophomore forward JT Compher (Northbrook, Ill.) were unanimous selections on the Big Ten Preseason Players to Watch list. Copp led the team in goal scoring in 2013-14 and finished second on the Wolverines with 29 points (15g, 14a). He earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honors at the end of the season. Compher led the Wolverines in scoring in with 31 points (11g, 20a) and was named the 2014 Big Ten Freshman of the Year.
