While Michigan (3-4, 1-2) is currently a two touchdown underdog versus No. 8 MSU (6-1, 3-0), Hoke says his team shouldn’t have a problem getting ready for the big time rivalry game.
“I can go back to when I was an assistant for eight years,” Hoke said. “I just knew it was Michigan State. Guys may miss a class here or there to prepare a little more. I’m just being honest with you. To see more film or whatever in their preparation.
“From that standpoint, who wouldn’t want to play in a game like this? Who wouldn’t want to get ready and prepare to go play your best football? As you know, we’ve been evolving as a tram and that’s what we need to do every week. So when you says ‘it’s the next game.’ Yeah, it is. But it’s a dang gone important game because it’s a great rivalry game.”
Michigan plays at Michigan State this Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
