Basketball Minute: U-M Media Day Observations

What stood out most at Michigan basketball media day Thursday afternoon? The freshmen appear to be integrating themselves well while Caris LeVert enters the year as the clear No. 1 option.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Basketball season is here.

John Beilein and the Michigan basketball program held their annual media day Thursday at the William Davidson Player Development Center.

Coming off a second straight appearance in the Elite Eight, the Wolverines replace two more first round NBA draft picks, three picks overall, and return Preseason All-Big Ten selection Caris LeVert.

With a sure fire No. 1 scoring option and a healthy mixture of inexperience across the board including seven players that haven’t checked into a college basketball game, Michigan appears focused and loose enough to prove detractors wrong again.

Sam Webb and Kyle Bogenschutz offer their impressions and initial observations after speaking with players and coaches of the 2014-15 Michigan Wolverines Thursday.
