Dishing With KBA (Week 2)

Michigan women's bball coach Kim Barnes Arico recaps her team's scrimmage last week, preparation for the season opener, previews her recruiting class, and much much more.

"I am so thrilled about our 2015 class," Barnes Arico said. "I think it is the first class since we have been here that we were able to really go through a complete recruiting process. We have gotten to know them over the course of many years and not just a couple of months. They are tremendous basketball players who are going to help us continue to take our program to the next level. They are also great students from tremendous families. They are all "Michigan" kids who demonstrate our core values of integrity, unity and competitive greatness. They have great work ethic and are incredibly driven on and off the court."

Name Pos. Ht. Hometown (High School)
Lauren Brozoski PG 5-6 Cambria Heights, N.Y. (Long Island Lutheran)
Naomi Davenport F 5-11 Cincinnati, Ohio (Mount Notre Dame)
Nicole Munger G 5-9 Doylestown, Pa. (Central Bucks West)
Hallie Thome F 6-5 Chagrin Falls, Ohio (Chagrin)
Sam Trammel F 6-2 Minnetonka, Minn. (Eastview)

"I think one of the common themes with all five of these players is that they have played for great programs and coaches, which has prepared them to be college ready. As a coach, having the opportunity to coach players who have an understanding of the game and can make an immediate impact is pretty special."

"I really have to recognize the work my assistant coaches did in assembling this class. They have done a great job of developing relationships with all five of these players and their contacts nationally. Their work ethic in recruiting these players was tremendous."
