Impact: Harbaugh on Field, Recruiting at U-M

With Jim Harbaugh officially on the job in Ann Arbor, Sam Webb and Kyle Bogenschutz look at the potential instant impact he can have on Michigan's program and what recruits could be ready to jump back into the fold with the Wolverines.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Jim Harbaugh didn’t bring just a new pair of khaki’s and an entire family on the flight from San Francisco to Ann Arbor Monday.

Harbaugh also brought instant credibility to a program seeking a return to the greatness it so widely known for.

Successful turnarounds at San Diego, Stanford and most recently during his four seasons as the head coach of the 49ers, Harbaugh’s process has been swift and immediate, Wolverines’ fans of course hoping for the same.

But what kind of impact can Harbaugh have on Michigan’s team right now in 2015?

The Wolverines do return quite a bit of depth despite that depth coming from a 5-7 team. If Harbaugh can find a quarterback this off-season Michigan’s offense could be ready to take a step-up, possibly ready to match a defense that also appears primed for another successful showing.

From a recruiting perspective, the impact is already being felt, what could this mean and which prospective student-athletes could be most likely to head to Ann Arbor to join Harbaugh at Michigan?

Sam Webb and Kyle Bogenschutz discuss several questions on the subject.
