Recap: U-M Beats Minnesota, Next at OSU

Michigan utilized a second half surge to beat Minnesota 62-57 Saturday at Crisler Center. Looking ahead and hoping to improve to 4-1 in Big Ten play, the Wolverines now head to Columbus Tuesday to battle with Ohio State.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- With Michigan trailing Minnesota 49-40 more than halfway through the second half, John Beilein and the Wolverines made the switch to a 1-3-1 zone defensively, forcing turnovers and stimulating a stagnant offense ultimately coming back to win 62-57.

Derrick Walton Jr. and Caris LeVert both scored 15-points for Michigan, Ricky Doyle and Zak Irvin each adding 12-points a piece.

Improving to 3-1 to start Big Ten conference play, the Wolverines now face their stiffest test of the season in league play as they head to Columbus to take on Ohio State Tuesday night.
