UM Gives UCLA Commit Something to Think About

Manvel (Tex.) CB Will Lockett set the bar high for Michigan during his official visit this weekend. If the Wolverines couldn’t met it he wouldn’t even think about decommitting from UCLA. Well, they met it.

Before setting out on his visit to Michigan this weekend, Manvel (Tex.) CB Will Lockett said above all else he would be looking for a feeling.  The same (or better) feeling, in fact, than the one he experienced before committing to UCLA.

GoBlueWolverine caught up with the physical corner as he was boarding his plane back to the Lone Star State, and he made it clear that Michigan is now very much in the game.

“It was pretty good,” said Lockett.  “It was everything I expected it to be.  I should be making a decision by Monday night.”

During a trip in which he says he was impressed by a lot, there was one aspect of the visit that shone the brightest.

“Just the coaching staff and how they treated me,” he said.

Now all that’s left are the deliberations.  He will have the flight home to reflect upon the experience himself, then when he gets home he will seek counsel from those he trusts most.

“There are a lot of people talking to me, a lot of people in my ear telling me what I should do and what’s best for me,” Lockett said. My mom, one of my mom’s closest friends… who is like another mom to me… and probably my position coach from high school.  I’ll probably talk to those people and get their advice on everything and see what they say.  Mom and my mom’s closest friend are probably the two people I listen to the most.”

Stay tuned to GoBlueWolverine for more details on Lockett’s visit in the hours to come.
