ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan battled for nearly the entire first half but couldn't keep up against a well executed 2-3 zone from Iowa to lose 72-54 at Crisler Center Thursday night.
Iowa was led by Jarrod Uthoff with 16-points, Mike Gesell adding 14-points as the Hawkeyes shot a blistering 72-percent from the field in the second half.
For Michigan, once again without the services of Derrick Walton Jr., freshman Aubrey Dawkins poured in a team high 16-points including 4-of-7 makes on three-point attempts. Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman added 11-points as well.
