“I was happy to receive it,” he said. “It’s a prestigious school. So I was just real happy to receive it.”
Now that the Edmond (Okla.) Santa Fe standout has his U-M offer, where do the Wolverines stand in his recruitment?
“They stand pretty tall,” he said. “I like the coaching staff. And I like the position they want me to play. They are looking at me in a hybrid [safety] position.”
Bundage has junior day visits setup with Kansas, Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech. He has already been on campus visits to TCU, Oklahoma State and SMU. And says now that he has his Michigan offer, a visit to Ann Arbor will likely happen in the near future.
“I am most definitely going to take a visit up there soon,” he said. “I’m just trying to build a relationship with the coaches and see where we stand.”
Bundage says he knows who of Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh is, however, admits he doesn’t know too much about U-M’s new headman.
“I actually don’t know too much about him,” he said of Harbaugh. “I know he’s the coach of Michigan. I know he’s an NFL guy. He can get kids to the next level.”
With his offer sheet growing, Bundage admits he still doesn’t have a leader for his services.
“I don’t really have a top program,” he said. “I’m just going with the flow.”
In the meantime, Bundage says his plan is to build on his 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame before his senior season.
“I want to get stronger and more explosive,” he said.
