Long Looking To Visit Michigan

Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola junior WR David Long talk Michigan offer, possible visit and more.

Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola junior WR David Long received his Michigan offer last month. But it wasn’t till last week that he finally realized it had become a reality.

“I think it’s really sweet,” Long said of his U-M offer. “I have always liked Michigan growing up. [The offer] really didn’t set in till about a week ago. I really just sat down and realized the options are there. Something I will definitely be interested in till the end.”

Long, who had planned to visit U-M later this month, says he had to cancel his trip due to his upcoming track schedule.

“I planned to go up to [Michigan] at the end of the month,” Long said. “But soon as I started track my schedule got thrown for a loop. And so I’m going to have to move some dates around. As of right now, I’m not really sure.”

However, he still know what he’ll be looking for when he finally visits Ann Arbor.

“Definitely the first thing is what they can offer after football,” Long said. “Then what are they expecting of their players coming in. Where I can fit in on defense or offense.”

Currently, Long is listed at 6-foot, 175-pounds, and holds double digit offers.

I wouldn’t say that I have a top-five,” Long said. “Some schools are recruiting me harder than the others would be Michigan, Oregon, UCLA, Duke, Colorado, Arizona State and Washington.”

Long says he is planning a sighing day decision.
