Podcast: Cole Adjusting Well

Saginaw (Mich.) Heritage ATH Brian Cole recaps his recruitment, explains he rationale for sticking with Michigan, and discusses his how things have gone during his first few weeks on campus.

"Cole has a good physical skill set for the position. He has good size, a good build and having seen him run in person, I believe he has the speed to play receiver at a high level. Of course, he has not played the position a ton yet. He could also play safety, but I still believe his best position will be receiver despite the inexperience. He has the physical tools and his natural ball skills and ability to go up and make catches above his head and outside the radius of "normal" players is there. He will have to polish the position specific skills, namely route-running and blocking, but he is a very hard worker."

"His exploits at running back show what his abilities are like after the catch. For a bigger kid, he has good elusiveness and ability to run away from guys in the open field. He has carried the load for his team and has shown toughness and competitiveness. "

"Cole is a tremendous get for the Wolverines, who at various points in the recruitment, seemed like they may be trailing other schools. There is opportunity for him to come in and compete at receiver and he has the tools and work ethic to compete early. He will have to learn the position, but the way this kid works, it wouldn't be surprising to see him pick it up quickly." - Allen Trieu
