Four-star Sophomore Wants to Hear From U-M

Tampa Bay (Fla.) Technical 2017 Wr Daquon Green talks Michigan interest and more.

Rising sophomore wide receiver Daquon Green already holds notable offers from Cincinnati, South Florida and Toledo. And while the Wolverines haven’t shown the four-star prospect any interest, he admits he would like tp hear from U-M in the near future -- and hopefully -- with an offer.

“I mean that would be big,” Green said of a Michigan offer. “Plus the new head coach from the San Francisco 49ers Jim Harbaugh, that would be a real big opportunity to meet him. Because he has experience with the 49ers and he can transfer that down to players.”

Green, who stars for Tampa Bay (Fla.) Technical, says he already has an idea of what he’ll be looking for if he does visit Michigan.

“What I would want to see is how they do things,” Green said. “How the education program checks out. And football wise, I will look for how tough it is and how comfortable I am with that in that system.”

While Green may hail from the Sunshine state, his goal he says is to find a school in from another.

“I am approaching it like a big idea,” Green said of the thought of playing for Michigan. “For me personally, I am trying to leave the state. But the only thing that will keep me back is if I wanted to see how it is [in other parts] of Florida. But other that, I would probably like to leave the state.”

Next, Green says he hopes to hear from Clemson, Auburn and, of course, Michigan as he starts to focus more on his college recruitment.

“What I am really going to be looking for is how good I get along with them,” Green said. “What their schemes are. And my relationship with the coaches.”

What really opens my eyes is what they do overall,” Green said. “If I like the team overall, then I will be looking for some interest there.”
