Max Bielfeldt Discusses Senior Day

Michigan senior Max Bielfeldt discusses his last game at Crisler Center Saturday and some of his fondest memories in Ann Arbor.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Perhaps the most unlikely of candidates to step-up and step-in big time for Michigan this season has been senior center Max Bielfeldt.

Averaging 4.7 points per game to go with 3.4 rebounds, Bielfeldt added veteran stability to a depth chart featuring two freshmen right next to him.

Saturday at home against Rutgers, Bielfeldt will make his first start of the season in 28 appearances, ending an up and down career filled with injuries but also great team successes had by the Wolverines.

"It's going to be cool to start," Bielfeldt said. "I've played big minutes this year so I'm not too shell shocked by playing first or a lot or whatever. Whatever it means, I'm ready to do it."

Bielfeldt reflects more on his time at Michigan below.
