Vance Continues to Build Bond With Michigan

Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech 2016 safety Demetric Vance talks Michigan interest, his talks with the coaching staff, a possible visit and more.

Michigan offered junior safety Demetric Vance last month when he took in an unofficial visit during a U-M basketball game. And the courting of the Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech standout hasn’t stopped there.

In fact, the Michigan coaching staff has continued to build a relationship with the four-star prospect, says Vance.

“I talk with Coach Singletary a lot,” Vance said. “I got to give Coach Jackson a call soon. But I stay in contact with them.”

Vance even admitted the Wolverines sit comfortably in his top-five.

“I would say it’s pretty good,” Vance said on his overall feeling on Michigan. “I continue to build my relationship with the coaches. So overall, it’s pretty good.”

Next up for Vance is a visit to U-M to checkout a spring practice.

“I’m sure I’m going to get up there,” Vance said. “Hopefully for spring ball. I know I’m going to get up there soon.

“I just want to see how they practice. I just want to see everything and the coaching, and mostly how they practice. They have a lot of NFL coaches. So I want to see how coaches from the NFL adapt to college.”

Vance noted that he plans on taking visits to Michigan State, Tennessee, Ohio State and Penn State this spring as well.
