CHICAGO, Ill. -- This wasn't the way Michigan's season was supposed to go.
For Spike Albrecht and Zak Irvin, the feeling walking off the court after losing 71-60 at the hands of regular season conference champion Wisconsin is new. Never have the duo experienced a season like this, a year that doesn't result in a bid in the NCAA tournament.
But it wasn't for a lack of trying.
Albrecht scored all 10 of his points in the first half Friday while Irvin took on Frank Kaminsky on one end and scored 21-points on the other. Irvin also added 11 rebounds for the Wolverines.
Both discussed the loss afterward.
