How good? Well, the senior linebacker thinks the Wolverine defense can be really good. As in -- the best in the nation good.
"I think the No. 1 defense in the nation is the best we can be," Bolden said at Schembechler Hall on Thursday. "If that's the limit. If that the top. If that's No. 1 spot, that's where we'll be."
Michigan finished seventh in total defense in 2014, giving up 311.3 yards per game and third overall in the Big Ten. However, U-M struggled as a team, finishing with a 5-7 record.
"So we're going to work [to get] there," Bolden said. "We're going to work our tails off and we're going to get there."
Michigan plays its annual spring game on April 4.
