ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan secondary coach Greg Jackson couldn’t stop glowing when asked about redshirt freshman safety Jabrill Peppers.

A former player and coach at the highest of levels in the NFL, Jackson has seen his fair share of talent at the defensive back position.

When asked who Peppers reminds him of at this stage, based mostly on his approach to the game, Jackson’s praise grew quickly, comparing the New Jersey native to former New England Patriots Super Bowl winning safety Rodney Harrison.

“What I was saying was the type of energy he brings to practice,” Jackson said. “Rodney was the same way, the same exact way.

“Everything he did on that practice field was field speed. It was never jogging, everything he did was full speed and he was always noticed, and that’s how Peppers is; the same exact way.”
