Top Safety Continues to Hear From Michigan

Edmund (Okla.) Santa Fe 2016 safety Calvin Bundage discusses the latest with Michigan, where the Wolverines stand in his recruitment and more.

Michigan offered four-star junior safety Calvin Bundage in February, and two months later the Wolverines are still making him a top priority in their 2016 class.

"They have just been talking to me trying to build a relationship with me," he said of Michigan. "The coaches said they would be coming out this spring. They are just saying how much they love my game and how much they want me on their team."

Adding: "We're building a good relationship."

That relationship, of course, began when Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh extended the offer to Bundage over the phone.

"He offered me," he said of Harbaugh. "I didn't get to talk to him for a long time. But he just called me and told me how much he wanted me. He explained the tradition and the things he wanted me in.He wants to use me as a hybrid type safety. He wants me to play down a little bit and move around the field."

"Most definitely [was good to hear from Harbaugh]. It's really exciting. I know he knows the game. He comes from the pros. So he can help me a lot."

What else would like to know about Michigan?

"I pretty much want to see how their tradition is," he admitted. "And really what the coaches want from me."

If possible, Bundage says he would like to take an official visit to U-M this fall.

"I would to scope out everything," he said.

As far as upcoming visits, Bundage plans on visiting Arkansas this weekend and Missouri coming up. He also is planning a signing day decision.
