Basketball had been the focus for Avon (Ind.) quarterback Brandon Peters during the winter and early spring. That explains why the four-star signal caller wasn’t as sharp at the Chicago Nike Football Training Camp as he knows he can be.
“At first I started out a little bit slow, but once I started getting in rhythm and a little more comfortable I thought I started doing a little bit better,” said Peters.
“I’d say accuracy and footwork was the big thing, but as the day went on I kind of cleaned it up and I started throwing a little better.”
Peters’ up-and-down performance kept him from getting an invite to Nike’s The Opening, but with another camp set to take place in Columbus May 31st, Swoosh representatives may not have seen the last of this Michigan commit.
