King Looking to Visit Michigan

Hinsdale (Ill.) South 2016 DE Josh King updates his recruitment with Michigan.

ADDISON, ILL. -- Four-star defensive end Josh King didn't walk away with camp MVP honors at Sunday's Nike combine, but did walk away turning some heads with his athletic style of play.

And athletic might be saying it lightly, considering he stands at 6-foot-7, 245-pounds.

"It was pretty cool, man," King said after the combine. "It was great competition. I really didn't expect anything easy at all. I just came to compete."

Recruiting wise, schools are competing to land King. He already holds double digit offers, which includes top programs Michigan, Ohio State and Notre Dame among others. In fact, he has been Michigan's campus already multiple times.

Although, he admits, the talks with the Wolverines have lightened as of late.

"It's been on and off a little bit," King said of Michigan. "I have been taking visits there and back recently. Nothing really serious right now."

However, he said he does plan on taking another visit to Michigan this summer.

"Last time I went I feel like I saw a lot of their facilities and things," King said. "But I really didn't get to in-depth with the coaches. That's what I want to do."

What does Michigan need to show him next time around?

"I want to be somebody special coming in there for them," King said, when asked what he's looking for in a program. "Not just a type of guy who is buried in the depth chart."

At the moment, King says he is undecided when he'll make his commitment known.
