Even though at times, he admits his commitment to the Wolverines sounds too good to be true.
"Trying not to think about it too much," Davis said on his commitment to Michigan. "But it's definitely a dream come true."
Since his decision to become Blue, the Onsted (Mich.) Community standout has been running and gunning in the AAU circuit working on his overall game.
"Working on my quickness," he said. "I'm in the weight room a lot getting stronger. Still fine tuning moves and stuff like that."
And part of his workout regime is what the Michigan coaches put forth before he even committed, he said.
"We talked about some before I committed," Davis said. "So we started working on it then. Running the floor is one of the big ones. Being better defensively, stuff like that."
As far as his goals when he finally arrives on campus in 2016, Davis simply just wants to be part of the team.
"Become the best person I can be athletically and academically," Davis said. "I just want to be the best I can be for them. Do what they need me to do. And it will all workout."
However, he doesn't know if that involves redshirting.
"We've talked about a lot of stuff, but we're not sure yet," he said.
