Teske Working on Rebounding Game

Medina (Ohio) High 2016 center Jon Teske discusses his overall game development, what he's looking forward to most when he finally arrives at Michigan and more.

Jon Teske has been committed to Michigan since August, making gains on and off the court.

Why? Well, Teske now stands at 7-foot, 220-pounds, and has grown a full inch since his commitment to the Wolverines last summer.

As far as his overall game, Teske has been working the glass hard this off-season in AAU summer basketball to become a elite rebounder before his high school career ends this winter.

"I'm just working on offensive rebounds, defensive rebounds and my overall good game offensively and defensively" Teske said. "[Michigan] just want to keep working on my rebounding. Be more aggressive on the offensive side. And just playing good defense as well.

"They want to play me offensively pick and roll, pick and pop. Just doing that and playing good defense on the defensive side."

While he's fully entrenched in summer basketball, Teske says he plans to make it back up to Michigan with his high school team -- Medina (Ohio) High -- for Michigan's team camp this summer.

"I'm going up to the Michigan basketball camp with my basketball team," Teske said. "I'm going up to the Michigan practice that they have. But beside that, I'm not sure yet."

Still focused on his high school career, Teske did admit he is looking forward to starting career at Michigan.

"Just being with the players and coaches," Teske said. "Just playing in the Big Ten. Just being around those guys every day."
